Cristiana Dean

Cristiana Dean

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

What does it mean to truly belong? While some naturally feel connected, others struggle to find their place. Have you ever felt the need to be part of something or even someone else? My journey toward becoming a therapist began while working as an aid assistant in a drug abuse residential center. Engaging residents in conversation, I saw firsthand how connection and self-discovery play a crucial role in healing. Witnessing their small victories fueled my passion for helping others. I earned my Psychology degree from Argosy University in Utah and later completed a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at the same institution. Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, I offer compassionate, culturally informed therapy to non-English-speaking families.

With experience in private practice, schools, residential treatment, inpatient, and IOP/PHP programs, I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. As a mother of three, I deeply understand the complexities of family dynamics. My approach is collaborative, blending Psychoeducation, Structural, CBT, Narrative, Solution-Focused, and Gottman Therapy. I believe in empowering clients to embrace authenticity and challenge themselves to grow—because, as Brené Brown says, “Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.”
