Laura Bennion
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
With more than 22 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of mental health settings, including the Department of Child and Family Services, youth corrections, residential treatment, therapeutic boarding schools, and both outpatient and inpatient treatment for mental health and substance use; I am passionate about helping my clients change their lives for the better. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, a master’s degree in addiction counseling, and a second master’s degree in Social Work. These three complementary degrees inform my approach to working with clients.
I value a strengths-based, person-centered, and holistic approach. Utilizing a variety of evidence-based skills and techniques, I work closely with my clients to foster and increase their self-efficacy and autonomy. I specialize in helping my clients navigate the struggles they face managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors surrounding varying types of addictions and mental health struggles, including anxiety and depression. I honor each client’s path and meet them where they are to assist them in creating a life worth living.
